NYDW provides first-class training and performance opportunities for some of Wales’ most-talented and committed young dancers. It harnesses the energy and excitement of young peoples’ enthusiasm for dance and dancing, and channels it into a creative, contemporary force that celebrates the very best of Youth Dance in Wales today.

National Youth Dance Wales 2018
In 2018, National Youth Arts Wales will work in partnership with Wales’ national dance company (National Dance Company Wales, or NDCWales) to deliver a professionally-led, intensive training experience to inspire Wales’ most-talented and committed young dancers.
In a programme devised by NDCWales Resident Choreographer, Caroline Finn, and Rehearsal Director, Lee Johnston, we aim to provide participants with an experience that will illustrate the life of a company dancer, immersing those taking part in a professional environment, and exposing them to working with some of the most exciting dance artists working in the UK – and beyond – today. Our aim is to inspire the next generation of dancers in Wales.
Who is it for?
We are looking for talented young dancers aged 16 – 22 years who live or were born in Wales and who regularly engage in dance classes through their school/college, private dance school and/or with their local youth dance company.
Entry into the National Youth Dance Wales ensemble is via an audition process.
