PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS

Professional Pathways is a nine-month programme for anyone aged 16–22 who’s buzzing about theatre, screen or backstage work - and wants to actually do it, not just hear about it! 

Made by National Youth Arts Wales along with some of Wales’s biggest creative organisations such as Theatr Clwyd and Wales Millennium Centre, this programme throws you straight into real rehearsals, real projects and real industry experiences.

This is immersive creative engagement that brings young people into the heart of professional work. Through residencies, workshops and industry days, you willl: 

  • Work with actors and professionals 

  • Try out performing, writing, making, designing 

  • Explore backstage worlds like stage management, tech and design 

  • Learn how theatre, film and digital blend in today’s creative scene 

  • Build confidence, teamwork skills and a sense of direction 

  • Connect with organisations who can help shape your future.

Who Can Join? 

This programme is open to young people across Wales who successfully audition for National Youth Theatre of Wales. It’s designed to be inclusive, inspiring and expansive - helping you to shape your voice, build confidence and create career-ready skills.
