Our Commitment to Anti-Racism
National Youth Arts Wales is committed to challenging racism and promoting racial equity in all aspects of our work. Systemic barriers and racial bias have historically limited access to the arts for young people from Global Majority backgrounds. We are against all forms of racism and prejudice and are dedicated to creating an environment where every young person feels valued, respected and empowered
We celebrate Wales’s rich multicultural heritage and are committed to increasing representation, amplifying diverse voices and ensuring our ensembles, residencies and projects reflect the full diversity of modern Wales.
We will continue to listen to young people, review our practices and take measurable actions to nurture an anti-racist culture - within our own organisation, our partnerships and the wider creative sector.
We welcome feedback on how we can strengthen this work.
