National Youth Arts Wales is launching Momentwm, a brand-new, FREE dance development programme for young people aged 12 - 22, and we want you to be part of it!
From September 2026, you can take part in weekly two-hour sessions led by professional dance artists. This is your chance to develop your dance skills, explore your creativity and work alongside other young dancers in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Throughout the programme, you will have opportunities to explore:
Dance Technique - develop your skills and train across a range of dance styles with experienced professional artists.
Choreography and Creativity - experiment with movement, share ideas and create your own work.
Performance - develop the skills, confidence and stage presence to perform, guided by industry professionals.
Collaboration and Wellbeing - connect with other young people, express yourself and develop teamwork and creative thinking.
Whether you already dance regularly or are looking for an opportunity to take your training further, Momentwm will support you to train, explore, create and grow.
We are looking for young people from across Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey to take part in this fully funded 18-week programme.

Momentwm Youth Advisory Panel
We are looking for a diverse group of young people aged 12 - 22 from Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey to join the Momentwm Youth Advisory Panel.
Momentwm is being created with young people, not simply for them. As a panel member, you will help shape the programme and ensure that it reflects the interests, experiences, needs and aspirations of young people across North Wales.
Your ideas and experiences will help us to:
• Shape Momentwm’s dance sessions, creative opportunities and wellbeing offer
• Identify and reduce barriers that may prevent young people from taking part
• Make the programme welcoming, inclusive and accessible
• Advise on marketing and how we communicate with young people
• Explore future training, performance and progression opportunities
• Reach and engage young people within your local community
• Inform the future development of youth dance opportunities across Wales
Youth voice is at the heart of the decisions we make. We want to hear what matters to you and make sure your ideas are listened to and meaningfully acted upon.

How to get involved
You do not need to have previous dance or leadership experience. We are looking for young people with a wide range of backgrounds, interests and experiences who are enthusiastic about sharing their views and helping to shape the programme.
